Orzeł z Westerplatte i inne skarby Muzeum Marynarki Wojennej

The miraculously recovered Westerplatte eagle—a stone relief originally placed above the headquarters building of the Military Transport Depot—was saved from war damage and proudly displayed at the Naval Museum in Gdynia. Also on display are original armament from the ORP Gryf, submarine guns, including a twin gun to the one mounted on the conning tower of the ORP Orzeł, torpedoes, including the famous experimental German bomb-torpedo, and naval mines. In the second part of the film, we will learn about the history of the Polish Navy, interesting facts about sailor attire, and the "delights" of the harsh life at sea.
