Camino de Santiago Día 11: De O Pedrouzo a Santiago de Compostela 19k
And the final day of this incredible adventure that began 11 days ago in Astorga has arrived!! We started the morning with all the excitement of feeling like we could almost touch the Cathedral of Santiago and we enjoyed every kilometer of this beautiful stage!! A simple and short stage, full of emotion, where you begin to take stock of everything you've experienced during the almost 270 kilometers we covered on the French Way!! Seeing the cathedral from the Pilgrim's Monument on Monte do Gozo is incredible, and from there, the entire descent and the entrance to Santiago up to the Obradoiro is indescribable. Those feelings of excitement, anxiety, knowing that you're reaching the end of the Camino, but at the same time knowing that this incredible journey is coming to an end, keep swirling in your head. And well, when you're entering the Obradoiro and you see the Cathedral of Santiago, it's impossible not to get emotional and shed tears that touch your soul and carry all the meaning of what you've experienced along the way, that wonderful experience that we will always carry in our hearts!! Reaching the end of the Camino with my life partner, the person I love who's up for all these crazy adventures with me, is something wonderful!! We'll never forget this amazing journey and these days of adventures and new friends we made along the way!! There were no more words in the square, just hugs and happiness. Afterwards, we went to see the cathedral, where in the afternoon we attended the famous Pilgrim's Mass!! And of course, walking through the little streets of Santiago, with smiles that no one could wipe off our faces, and as we said in one of the stages, we kept our promise and ate octopus in Santiago!! hahaha The next day we started another adventure; we went to pick up the motorhome to begin our trip through Portugal!! But you'll see that in other videos!! Thank you so much for joining us!! Details of the Route on Strava: / strava
