A new era began for Amtrak passenger service on the LOSSAN Corridor. 1 of 16 new SC-44 charger locomotives made its official debut on the Pacific Surfliner, as the testing process for these new locomotives goes underway the remaining F59 locomotives will be shipped off to Metra commuter rail in Chicago.
