Himmelklar – Der katholische Podcast: Neuer Prior von Taizé Frère Matthew

There's a change in Taizé on the first Sunday of Advent: Brother Matthew becomes the new prior of the ecumenical community in France. Is he following in the footsteps of Brother Roger and Brother Alois? What brought him to Taizé in the first place? What will change and what will remain – and what Taizé was doing at Pope Francis's vigil in St. Peter's Square at the start of the World Synod. Church? What does it even have to say to me in the 21st century? A lot. Good and bad, relevant and banal, funny and important. Every week, we introduce you to people who are moving the church today. Bishops, politicians, celebrities, and lay people – we talk to the people from church and society the Catholic world is talking about and ask them: What brings you hope? Why does a theologian resist the police at a climate protest? What does the chaplain on the front lines think in the Ukraine war? How does the Catholic politician justify her decisions? What does the Pope's foreign minister think about Germany? We asked them. With weekly exciting conversations and inspiration from people from very different corners of the church and the world, we bring our voice into the social dialogue. Together with the podcast guests of "Himmelklar," we enter the world as a socially relevant voice.
