According to Stats SA, 65.8% of Northern Cape residents have experienced water interruptions from their local municipalities. Kimberley and Ritchie residents were not spared from this reality, which, according to the Sol Plaatje Municipality, will soon be a thing of the past. Efforts to improve the quality of water supply, reverse water losses and replace ailing infrastructure are underway at the municipality.
