The disappearance of businessman Marcelo Magalhães de Almeida ended tragically. After seven days of searching, the police found the victim's body and revealed details that completely changed the course of the investigation. According to the Civil Police, Marcelo left home for a pre-arranged meeting and ended up being lured into an ambush. The investigation indicates that he was held captive, forced to make bank transfers, and subsequently murdered. One of the main suspects arrested had a romantic relationship with the victim, information that became the main line of investigation in the case. The police are investigating how this relationship of trust was used to lure Marcelo to the crime scene.
