History of the Institute of Advanced Motorists and how it was born from the UK driving test

In this video I look at the birth of the driving test in the UK and how this lead to the birth of the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM). From this history I will start to go through the Institute of Advanced Motorists topics that are included in the advanced driving test but also cover some techniques that will improve driver and rider safety. Of course none of these techniques and tips can be a substitute for an advanced driving course with either aRoSPA or the IAM and the practical instruction by a qualified advanced driving observer under practical circumstances on the UK roads.
