The story of La Rambla 5.15 (9a+)

I remember feeling tired, because the days before I had been trying “La Rambla” with the entire Petzl Team (Chris Sharma, Dani Andrada, Dave Graham and Yuji Hirayama). Despite FEELING a little tired we decided to go climbing with Gerard Rull. I have to admit that we were not very inspired. We warmed up in the afternoon in L'Olla area and then we decided to go and check on “La Rambla”. -Hmmm, it's getting dark, I said to Gerard. -Gerard told me: give it a quick try. -Well ... I don't know ... but venga come on! What I did not know is that in the same attempt I was going to achieve my dream, reach the chain of one of the hardest routes in the world by that time. I could not believe it; I had succeeded after 27 attempts and several months of work. It was an unforgettable moment! I remember that when I got to the ground Gerard hugged me and with tears in his eyes he told me; Edu I promise you that someday I will also send it. Gerard managed to send La Rambla on March 2 in 2018. Inspiration, perseverance and dedication ... since Gerard works from monday to friday at the Barcelona hospital.
