"Welcome to Cinnamonte." I took a day trip to Sinsimodo (Sindo, Sido, and Modo), a tranquil El Dorado remaining near Seoul. Reachable by a short 10-minute ferry ride from Sammok Dock, these three connected islands span a total distance of just over 20 kilometers, making them an ideal destination for a light walk or exploring via public transit. In this video, I introduce 'Sugi Beach', a hybrid coastline that transforms between a white sand beach and mudflats depending on the tides; the 'Baemikkumi Sculpture Park' featuring works by artist Lee Il-ho; and hidden gems like the coastal pine forest trail and the arrowhead monument steeped in the local legends of Sido. Furthermore, to capture the culinary delights of island travel, I have included a hearty meal of fresh conch bibimbap for 13,000 KRW and a visit to a chimney cake cafe, which has established itself as a local specialty of Sinsimodo. Once the Sindo Peace Bridge opens in 2026, it may be difficult to experience this current level of serenity.
