I recently watched a music video for a song called One Night In Tokyo by the amazing beast in black and the art style was so like Flashback that I had to dive back in. This video is the result of that trip down memory lane into the realm of what I consider true retro gaming. So here we'll be looking at Flashback and Fade To Black. These two games were developed by Delphine software in France. Flashback is one of the stand out narrative platform games from the Sega Megadrive / Sega Genisis and Amiga 500 while it's sequel, Fade To Black, was a janky but heartfelt attempt at creating a unique 3rd person action game for DOS and the PSX. So let's dive in and take a journey with Conrad Hart as he fights evil shape shifting Aliens to save the Earth in this science fiction 16bit classic.
