Quake Deserves The Doom Treatment
Quake is a game that people lord for its innovations on the gaming industry, and yet its a series that has seen very little action over the past few years. Ever since the first game came out, id Software continued to double down on the multiplayer aspect of Quake eventually turning it into nothing more than an arena shooter. While this part of Quake's DNA can't be ignored, the other darker side of the original game is what excited me the most. This is why if Quake was to get the Doom treatment, id Software should focus on the gothic aspect of the original.
