Rand did a 994+ nautical mile non-stop flight from Oshkosh KOSH to Tampa KZPH on less than 24 gallons. The Sinus has a glide ratio of 27:1 (better in tail wheel version) and minimum sink of 227 fpm. It also has good load carrying capacity and lots of options for instruments/avionics.
