olimpic 500plus: Take Your Edgebanding to New Flexibility The olimpic 500plus is a complete and highly versatile edge bander. Designed for medium-sized companies, it offers a wide range of machining operations with high-quality standards and it can achieve the speed of 18 m/min. One of its key strengths is flexibility: olimpic 500plus allows the use of 3 different types of gluing technology: EVA, PUR glue, and hot air technology. As standard, this edge bander is supplied with the SGP glue pot, which features a special anti-adhesive plasma treatment for a quick switch between EVA and PUR adhesives without changing the glue pot. Available the automatic emptying cycle of the tank and the NC-controlled glue dosage which can be set up via the machine IHM. On request, the edge bander can be fitted with the AirFusion+ device, the hot air technology that enables edgebanding with a zero-joint line between the edge and the panel. Available in both pneumatic and electronic (HP) configurations, olimpic 500plus allows processing with two independent radii with all working units, including the 2-motor rounding unit. It also performs 45° chamfering, panel finishing without edge application, and operations on panels with protective film. In the electronic configuration, no manual adjustment of the working units is required during machining changeovers. Moreover, olimpic 500plus processes narrow panels even 60 mm wide and applies solid wood lipping up to 12 mm thick. It can be integrated with the scm fastback panel return device; thus the entire process can be managed by a single operator, even with large panels. The olimpic 500plus is user-friendly. Its large touch-screen control panels, available in 15” and 24” sizes, along with the Maestro active edge HMI, provide operators with an intuitive and efficient working experience, and also ensure maximum connectivity and synchronization with company systems.
