Tamil Locals Saved Us In Rural India 🇮🇳

Luckily we found ourselves in Madurai for the multi day Pongal festival that takes place every year in Tamil Nadu! We jumped into an auto and headed out into the Indian countrysides to an ancient hill temple. Here we met so many friendly locals and a group of super hospitable Indian lads looked after us the whole time. We then headed back to our homestay on the outskirts of Madurai where our lovely host cooked us some sweet pongal and rice with sambar. The day was ended with some Madurai parotta and then chai and biscuits before bed!
