North Weald Redoubt - Flooded Time Capsule Vlog

Our next video takes us once again out to the Essex countryside to North Weald Redoubt; one of the London Mobilisation Centres built in the late-19th century around the capital to defend it from invasion. In WW2 the site became a defensible 'vulnerable point', and was later taken over by various radio companies from Marconi to BT between 1920 and 1995. The fort is now abandoned and partially flooded following a drain blockage. Having known about this site since we began exploring, it was great to finally get the chance to explore it. Not only were we impressed by the size of the site, but its flooded underground sections explored with the waders even contained some original furniture! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Don't forget to LIKE and SUBSCRIBE to BeyondthePointTV New videos released fortnightly on weekends.
