Nolan Wells' Sheriff Said WHAT Before the Autopsy?!
Nolan Wells went to Horn Island on the Fourth of July with friends. He never came back. His body was found in the water two days later. And before the medical examiner finished the autopsy, before toxicology results existed, before the FBI examined his phone, the sheriff told the country no foul play was suspected. Defense attorney and former prosecutor Eric Faddis breaks down what that premature call does to an active investigation — and why the DA agreeing to present this case to a grand jury tells you more than any press conference. The friends say Nolan chose to stay on the island to talk to a girl he'd just met. The young woman reportedly told investigators he was heading back to the boat. Both of those statements cannot be true, and a former prosecutor explains what happens when that contradiction sits unresolved while the clock runs. Messages were allegedly deleted from the phone before the family recovered it. The FBI is now examining the digital evidence. And roughly two hundred people were on a remote barrier island with no cameras, no cell service, and no staff — meaning the entire evidence foundation rests on strangers' footage that investigators are still asking the public to turn over. Faddis walks through what a competent investigation looks like when the physical evidence barely exists, what the independent autopsy needs to show to force the investigation to change course, and why the grand jury commitment from the DA may be the single most important development in this case. Tony Brueski, Robin, and Eric Faddis break it all down.
