Business Inquiries: [email protected] Instagram: @beth_ann_maloney PLEASE remember to never do this on yourself unless you have been properly trained. Trust a professional to give you this treatment. Application: 1. Cleanse skin with gentle cleanser 2. Make sure skin is dry, then clean face with Pre-Prep (this is to de-grease the skin) 3. Apply first pass of 20% Salicylic Acid Peel starting with the forehead and working your way down the face. (note the time on the clock) 4. While watching the clock, ask your client how they are doing and check for any frosting on the skin. 5. If client can handle another pass, wait 60 seconds between each pass and apply another. Starting again at the forehead and working down the face. 6. After 5-10 minutes (we did 5 mins here), re-cleanse the face with gently cleanser and apply an SPF of at least 30. Chemical peels exfoliate the top layer of skin, causing the natural cell turnover process to speed up. Salicylic and glycolic acids are two of the most commonly used ingredients in peels. They refresh the skin by removing discolored skin cells. Plus, they work wonders on acne-prone skin—oil production is minimized, pores are unplugged, and blemishes, blackheads and whiteheads shrink in size. Unlike microdermabrasion, chemical peels can be a little more intense, depending upon the percentage of acid used. Salicylic or glycolic peel can be mild to moderately uncomfortable and burn or sting. It’s also normal for skin to be red and dry and peel for a few days after the treatment. Normally, peeling will start 3 days after a peel has been applied. Hope you enjoy and please leave any comments below. xoxo **Disclaimer -I am not sponsored by or paid by any company.
