Riding on the Christchurch Tramway ~ 09/03/2025 (HD)

30 years after its opening, and the Christchurch Tramway is still going strong. In March 2025, I decided to go for a ride on the tram line, which involved the usual live commentary from the motorman. We’ll also see a car stupidly parked on the track and - a short time later - a cafe where they send food through pneumatic tubes; the very same cafe that featured in a Tom Scott video. As for the specific trams that appear in my video, they are Nos. 11 (from Dunedin), 15 (from Invercargill), 178 (a Christchurch local) and 244 (from Melbourne, Australia). 244 is an example of the ‘W2’ class; my favourite tram class from the Melbourne network.
