I Can't Believe There are Fish This BIG in the Plum Grove Reservoir!
I decided at the last minute to make a trip over to the Plum Grove Reservoir (aka "Harper College Pond") for a few hours for some Sunday afternoon fishing. I was quite windy so I wasn't too confident on how I would do. Targeting largemouth bass using a Keitech paddle tail jig I ended up finding where the bass where holding on what they wanted (biggest measured in at 16".) To my suprise, using a small twister tail, I ended up facing a 20 minute battle with a grass carp that I was able to land without a net (hooked in its tail). It was overall a successful outing.
