From the Rear of Amtrak Train #2 - Luling, TX

Taken from the rear of Amtrak Train #2, the eastbound Sunset Limited, this shot shows the train passing through the town of Luling, TX, which is about 50 miles east of San Antonio. This is on UP's Glidden Subdivision, and Luling is the location of a 10,282 ft passing siding and a detector located at MP 152.9. The shot begins with the train rolling down the main on the west side of Luling. Luling Siding is on the left and a westbound coal train bound for San Antonio is occupying the siding. The train then passes the coal train's DPU (UP C44AC #6740) and rolls through East Luling (CP SA153). Amtrak Train #2 then heads through the heart of Luling and passes through the Hi-Wide Detector at MP 152.9, which gives "No-Defects" on it's read-out. And from there the train heads eastward out of Luling and into the Texas countryside. Video taken through Luling, TX on July 12th, 2013. Thanks for watching!
