The End of the Mine - An Interview with Chris Upton - Thoresby Colliery
In 2015 Thoresby Colliery in Nottinghamshire closed. Photographer Chris Upton spent nine months at the pit taking photographs of the mine and of the people who worked there. Presented here are clips from an interview with Chris Upton filmed in January 2017 at the site of the former Thoresby Colliery. Produced by Daniel Saunders. The interview was originally shot as promotional material for a documentary I directed: 'Embers', which is in post-production.
