Stoke on Trent Roundhouse
Ron Ruston visited the round house at Stoke on 18/06/1968 11 month after it had been closed and before it was demolished . It opened in 1848 with the start of the NSR and closed in 1967 119 years of continuous service. The offices where originally a house built in 1841 which became the site of the first temporary station in Stoke when the line to Norton Bridge was completed. later in 1848 the present Stoke station opened.
