On Thursday, RS Bath, acting as duty magistrate from Sohna, Gurugram, arrived in Dhunela village with a team from the Municipal Council and began the process of freeing approximately 4 kanals (13 marlas) of land from encroachment. This land had been under dispute for a long time. The Municipal Council claims that it is registered as their land in government records. As soon as the team arrived on the scene in the morning, the village erupted in activity. RS Bath, along with Municipal Council officials, police, and a team from the Revenue Department, demarcated the land and removed the graveyard sign from the disputed land. Following this, the land was cleared and fenced around the area, lasting approximately three hours. According to RS Bath, the area is mostly green belt and belongs to the school and the Municipal Corporation of Sohna, and the action was initiated by him. The duty magistrate explained that the land is clearly registered in the revenue records in the name of the Municipal Council, and the Muslim side requested that the shed not be demolished, so they did not demolish it. Bath explained that since this matter involved faith, they were told that if they had any land related issues, they should meet with the Deputy Commissioner and their case would be heard. It's worth noting that this wasn't a simple matter. As soon as the proceedings began, members of the other party protested, halting the work for about an hour, creating a tense atmosphere. Later, the duty magistrate showed the documents on the spot, after which the protesters calmed down and returned.
