Gurugram police, in a major action on Tuesday, bulldozed an illegal seven-story building owned by history-sheeter Satpal alias Kalu alias Choti in village Kanhai. A joint team of police and district administration began demolishing the illegal construction amid tight security. According to police, Satpal alias Kalu has seven serious criminal cases registered against him. He is a history-sheeter in the Sector 40 police station area and has also served time for NDPS Act convictions. Police say the accused has been involved in illegal liquor, drug trafficking, and other illegal activities for a long time. Investigation revealed that the accused had illegally constructed a seven-story building on approximately 124 square yards of land in village Kanhai. The building had 35 rooms and was operating a PG. During the operation, more than 100 police personnel were deployed to maintain law and order. Over 50 laborers and machinery were deployed for demolition. The Anti-Narcotic Cell of Gurugram Police, Sikanderpur, coordinated this operation with the district administration. Police say they will continue to crack down on illegal encroachments, illegal construction, and criminal networks in the city.
