Who Were the Masked Men Seen Before Nick Cordova Was Killed?

On May 27, 2020, in Gilbert, Arizona, 40-year-old business owner Nicholas “Nick” Cordova was attacked inside his HVAC company, Gilbert Air, while on a FaceTime call with his young children. What they witnessed, and what his wife Alysha Cordova heard in real time, would change their lives forever. Surveillance footage confirms two masked individuals entered the building. Minutes later, Nick was shot. His business partner, David Sweetman, was the only other person inside at the time. At first, the case seemed straightforward: a violent robbery. But the deeper you look, the more questions surface: Why was money left behind? Why did David Sweetman’s story change? Why was he still carrying over $1,000 after claiming he handed everything over? And why had Nick expressed fears about his business partner in the weeks before his death? Investigators recovered clear surveillance footage,  including a suspect seen at a nearby ampm gas station on West Guadalupe Road just minutes after the shooting. Yet, years later, no one has been identified or charged. As Alysha pushed for answers, even more troubling details emerged including a  multimillion-dollar life insurance policy between business partners, allegations of missing company funds, forged documents tied to insurance claims, and another unexplained death connected to David Sweetman’s past Despite repeated calls for action, the case remains unsolved.
