Anne Ghesquière welcomes Didier Van Cauwelaert, novelist, playwright, and screenwriter, to the program "Métamorphose." In many of his works, he explores human relationships, love, desire, and betrayal with a seriousness tempered by humor and tenderness, but also (and especially) death and what comes "after." In his new book, he resurrects the protagonist of his 1997 bestseller, "La vie interdite" (Forbidden Life), forcing him to extricate himself from his journey through death and once again become, against his will, a witness to human machinations. Humor, tenderness, manipulation, and reflections on the afterlife are all present in "La vie absolue" (Absolute Life), published by Albin Michel, which also raises the question of remembrance, of the memory of those who pass away.
