TRANSPARENCY vs. OVERSHARING in Publishing

Transparency as an author--it's a good thing, right? Yes, generally. But when does transparency tip over into oversharing? I'm discussing that here! Important note: this is about transparency about publishing information, feelings, and advice giving generally and NOT a commentary on individuals who are brave enough to speak up and out against inequities in publishing, and impact change. We should always be wary of anyone trying to put a "chilling effect" on those speaking out against racism, sexism, gender discrimination, etc. in the industry by crying "oversharing!" or unprofessionalism when legitimate concerns are brought to light.
