The hotel is conveniently located right in front of a 7-Eleven. Just a few minutes' walk from there, we found a wonderful shop bustling with local customers. A kind, smiling woman was running the shop all by herself. The clear soup had a strong garlic flavor, yet the aftertaste was surprisingly clean. The luk chin (fish cake), tender pork, and crispy fried wontons were all exquisite. Before I knew it, I had finished every last drop of soup. And the price? A mere 35 baht! It was so cheap I almost felt guilty and couldn't resist ordering a Coke.
