The Miller D-30 Granite Stone Mill - Review

My friend Oleg ‪@The-Miller‬ asked me to put together a review video of his amazing granite stone mill made in Ukraine. This mill has a unique combination of features you won't find anywhere else, and I am extremely satisfied with the purchase. Unique Features: real granite mill stones (not-corundum composite like the German mills) no plastic in the entire grinding flow. The hopper, grain feed, milling chamber, and exit chute contain only stainless steel and wood materials. variable speed grinding; 3-phase motor with converter from single phase 220v power (runs on 60 Hz or 50 Hz power thanks to an Invertek Variable Frequency Drive) grease-less design on the D-30 (grease-able bearings on their larger units) small footprint 25" width x 33" length x 44" height can fit just about anywhere; mill weighs approximately 200 lbs fully assembled, and less than 150 lbs with the hopper and runner stone removed horizontal stone placement with easy adjustment; down-pressure system allows additional down-force to be applied for a very fine grind consistent feed system with hardware magnet low-grain automatic shutoff prevents stone damage if grain runs out low temperature milling - milled flour has never exceeded 100 degrees F in my experience high output - 30 cm millstones can produce at least 84 lbs/hour (38 kg/hour) on the finest setting easy to dismantle and remove runner stone for cleaning and stone maintenance beautiful wood construction - made of solid alder wood electric-free manual milling option available Importing the mill was not difficult at all even though I've never imported anything before. I used ClearIt USA for customs clearance. In this video 14 lbs of home-grown Bolles hard red spring wheat was ground in just under 10 minutes (84 lbs/hour).
