Mamiya/Sekor 1000TL Video Manual 2 of 2

Preceding the better-known 1000DTL, the 1000TL was the first 35mm camera with a spot meter. TL, meaning through-lens for the metering type, became more commonly known as TTL in general terminology. Mamiya's TL series were produced for only a few years and did not provide Mamiya with a strong consumer-user market share. With an interface more akin to professional cameras, the TL (and later DTL) series require added thought about image composition. However, one of the best lens systems of their day support the cameras and they are capable of taking spectacular images.
