Three Beautiful Houses from Central Scotland | Scotland’s Home of the Year 2026

The Scotland’s Home of the Year judges are in central Scotland, checking out properties in Bridge of Allan, Kinrosshire and Kippen. First up is a Georgian listed townhouse in Bridge of Allan. Blawlowan boasts a European feel with its decor, celebrating the home’s original features while also adding character through upcycling and antiques. The second property to be visited is The Barn, an ecologically-sound passive house near Loch Leven in Kinrosshire, with the new-build creating a unique and comfortable family home. Finally, the judges check out The Old Granary, a converted agricultural building in Kippen. The original building dates back to the 1800s, and the owners have managed to pay homage to the home’s heritage while adding in a stunning new luxury modern extension.
