The WORST PART of runDisney Isn’t the Race 🏃🏻‍♂️ | Tuesday Talks

#disney #disneyworld #disneyparks #podcast #running I love runDisney. I’ve run the races, collected the medals, and experienced the magic of running through Disney parks before sunrise. The races themselves are some of the most unique and enjoyable events in the running world. But today, I want to talk about the other side of the experience. The registration process. After the Princess Half Marathon Weekend registration was delayed last week and ultimately rescheduled, I found myself on the outside looking in when registration reopened. And it got me thinking: How can one of the best guest experience companies in the world continue to struggle with race registration? In this episode of Tuesday Talks with Michael, I discuss what happened with the 2027 Princess Half Marathon Weekend registration, why so many runners become frustrated with the virtual queue system, and how the process compares to major marathons around the world. This isn’t a complaint about the races themselves. In fact, it’s the opposite. The races are fantastic. That’s why so many of us keep coming back. But when demand continues to grow, should runDisney rethink how race entries are distributed? Should there be a lottery? A waitlist? Priority registration? Or is the current system still the best option available? Whether you’re a longtime runDisney runner, a marathon enthusiast, or someone who has spent hours staring at a virtual queue screen, I’d love to hear your thoughts. Did you get into Princess Weekend? What would you change about the registration process? Let me know in the comments. Thanks for watching and I’ll see you next Tuesday.
