Drimnagh: A History - Dublin Festival of History 2021
Presented by the Library in the Community service. Today, Drimnagh is a well-established suburb on the southside of the City of Dublin. But few realise the long and interesting history this area has, with Neolithic settlements, a castle and stories of Normans, ghosts and conflicts with the natives. In more recent times, farmland and brickfields covered the area, before the houses we see today were built. Join Cathy Scuffil, Dublin City Council Historian-in-Residence, for a fascinating journey through the history of this area. The Dublin Festival of History is brought to you by Dublin City Council, and organised by Dublin City Libraries, in partnership with Dublin City Council Culture Company.
