Conferência Magna da 35ª RBA, com Rita Laura Segato
Rita Segato Professor Emerita at the University of Brasília and holder of the Rita Segato Chair of Uncomfortable Thought at the National University of San Martín. Rita Segato represents one of the most original and influential contributions to contemporary Social Sciences in Latin America. Her career is marked by the deconstruction of colonial and patriarchal power structures, and her internationally recognized work spans Anthropology, Law, and Philosophy. Beyond her intellectual and conceptual robustness, Rita Segato's trajectory has a high legal and social impact. Her work in various international bodies such as CLACSO, the Inter-American Commission of Women, and the Organization of American States, and her central role in the formulation of affirmative action policies at the University of Brasília, among many other outstanding national and international achievements, demonstrate her particular ability to translate academic rigor into transformative public policies.
