Hidden Gold Workings in the Grass Tree Capital

In this video, I head off-track again to investigate another undocumented 1800s gold site in the Brisbane Ranges, reading the land the way early prospectors did. We walk old ridgelines and spurs, push through rough sparse bush, and search for signs left behind — quartz float, shallow test holes, trench lines, things you’d walk straight past if you didn’t know what to look for. This isn’t about chasing modern gold finds. It’s about trying to understand the people and their history that worked this ground — and what their sudden disappearance might tell us. If you’re into the gorgeous Australian bush and gold mining history, lost 1800s mine sites, Brisbane Ranges exploration, off-track bush walking, and the raw beauty of the Australian bush, come along for the search. Wandering through the bush where only a few have been before is truly a humbling experience and one id love you to join me on.
