Twin Otter DHC-6 Airplane and Pilot Biography

The DHC-6 Twin Otter is a Canadian built STOL (Short Takeoff and Landing) 19-passenger utility aircraft developed by de Havilland Canada. Twin Otters are a popular choice for skydiving operations and competitions, and are also used as short haul passenger airliners, cargo, and medivac aircraft. With its first flight in 1965, Twin Otters have earned an almost legendary reputation of being reliable, durable, and able to accomplish almost any mission - they even operate on floats! Twin Otters have been manufactured in batches of types called series, with Series 100 being the initial run.
