CN-235 and C-295 - Spanish transports
The CN-235 and C-295 are light transport aircraft that are among the main aviation projects, developed in Spain. The CN-235 was created in the early 1980s by the Spainish CASA (Construcciones Aeronáuticas SA) in cooperation with the Indonesian IPTN (Industri Pesawat Terbang Nusantara) as part of the Airtech International joint venture. The aircraft is light enough to carry up to 6 tons (13,100 lb) of cargo or up to 51 soldiers. For its time, it was quite cheap and well equipped to perform many different missions. The CN-235 has gained popularity due to its merits, with over 350 aircraft delivered to military and civilian operators around the world. The C-295 is a new generation developed on the basis of the CN-235 entirely by EADS CASA. The aircraft has become larger, heavier and more technologically advanced, while remaining in the class of light military transport aircraft, it has significantly increased its performance. Production started in 1997 and during this time more than 200 aircraft were delivered. Subscribe to the channel, comment, and like!
