A Wandle Walk: Earlsfield to Wandsworth
The Wandle Industrial Museum John Sheridan takes you along the River Wandle looking at the industrial sites and the history of the mills, the products they produced and the processes that they used. Starting at Earlsfield Station John takes you the streets and parks to where the River Wandle joins the River Thames. He explains the textile industry processed it calico, the dyes they used and how the mills even ground up bones whilst also recalling the Surrey Iron Railway.
