The Major and his battalion - honouring our heroes with the strength of #dieselpower The heroes in the Battle of Rezang La - 13 Kumaon Battalion was led by the braveheart Major Shaitan Singh, Param Vir Chakra. Northern Railways’ diesel sheds Alambagh and Ludhiana pay a tribute to our heroes in a unique style: Individual locos of different sheds named after Major Shaitan Singh (LDH/40264) and his battalion (AMV/40149) formed together as multiple unit locos, like the Major leading his battalion.
