Transforming My Tiny Space: Tough Choices & Letting Go in the Garden!

In today’s video, I’m sharing a more personal side of gardening — the tough choices we sometimes have to make when a plant simply isn’t right for our tiny growing space, our taste, or our lives anymore. I start by talking about removing my weigela shrubs. They were healthy and loved by wildlife, but they just didn’t feel right in my garden. Replacing it with a plum tree, redcurrant bushes and numerous forget‑me‑nots has completely transformed the area into something beautiful, productive and full of life. I also open up about a much more emotional decision: removing my blueberry bushes. They came with me from my previous garden after my divorce, and letting them go has been difficult. But they’ve never thrived in my soil, and it’s time to move forward. I share what I’m planting instead — blackcurrants, honeyberries, and plans for thornless blackberries — and why these choices will work better in my small garden. If you’re feeling stuck with plants that aren’t working for you or if you simply enjoy small-space gardening, I hope this video encourages you to rethink your space. Sometimes the bravest thing we can do is let go of plants that no longer serve us and create room for something more beautiful, productive and meaningful. #Gardening #GardenTransformation #Tinygarden #SmallSpaceGardening #SmallGardenIdeas #GrowYourOwn #FruitGarden #GardenAdvice #UKGardener #gardeninspiration #WildlifeGarden #GardeningForWildlife
