What to Know About TILs Treatment: TILs The Patient Experience with Melanoma Patient Esther Allen
Esther Allen has been living with melanoma for 30 years and has navigated Stage 4 disease since 2009. Over that time, she has undergone major surgeries, SABR, radiotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, and most recently TILs therapy. She describes her full-time job as staying alive, a role she approaches with resilience, honesty, and hope. Beyond her treatment, Esther sings with the Sheffield Cancer Choir, and also volunteers for her local cancer hospital and as a doula, supporting vulnerable women through life's most vulnerable moments. She is married and the proud mother of a 16-year-old daughter, who inspires her every day.
