This engine is identical to the 2007-2009 with the only exception being the addition of displacement on demand and active fuel management. This engine didn't really have any major or catastrophic failures, and I wanted to make a video to show our normal teardown and inspection process on something that isn't blown to pieces. Its hard to say why this engine was replaced, but I didn't see any hard part damage that would lead me to believe anything more than a wear item replacing rebuild couldn't solve.
