If farmers do not irrigate his wheat field at this critical stage, he may get huge yield losses. These critical stages are: 1) Tillering Stage of Wheat - (20-25 days after sowing) 2) Booting stage of Wheat crop - (80-90 days after sowing) 3) Milking stage of Wheat plant - (125-130 days after sowing) Wheat needs at least three irrigations to make wheat grains. However, there is also a stage which is important in wheat crop, called jointing stage. It is in between tillering and booting stage.
