İbni Sina ve Farabi nasıl kafir oldular? ⁄ Kerem Önder
Why did Imam Ghazali declare the philosophers Ibn Sina and Farabi to be infidels? / Kerem Önder How did Ibn Sina and Farabi become infidels? / Kerem Önder "Most of philosophy is foolishness." Imam Rabbani According to Imam Ghazali, philosophers are of three types: Dehriyyun/Materialists: Most of these are ancient philosophers who are atheist heretics who say that the universe is eternal and that beings have no creator. Tabiyyun/Naturalists: These deeply studied nature, which is God's wonderful art, and concluded that it cannot exist without a creator. However, because they delved too deeply into this matter, they said that everything is automatically connected to the order of nature, that things happen within this order, and therefore, there will be no resurrection after death, no judgment, and naturally, they argued that there is no need to consider God's commands and prohibitions as stated in religions. These are also a kind of deniers. Theologians: This third group consists of later philosophers such as Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle. (al-Munkiz-shamila, 1-7) In particular, it is the Islamic philosophers Farabi and Ibn Sina who conveyed Aristotle's views to us. According to the information they provided, Aristotle's thoughts can be evaluated in three parts: those leading to disbelief, those leading to heresy, and those that should not be denied. According to Ghazali, the reason for declaring Aristotle and his followers, Farabi and Ibn Sina, as infidels is due to three points: 1. Their statement, "Resurrection is not physical. People will be resurrected only with their souls, not their bodies." This is a thought contrary to the belief of all Muslims. 2. Their statement, "Allah knows all things, but He does not know particular things." This is clear disbelief. 3. Their statement that "the universe is eternal." These three ideas are contrary to Islamic creed and the thinking of Muslims, and should be condemned as heresy. Ghazali expressed these ideas in his writings, especially in his work "Tahafut al-Falasifa" (The Incoherence of the Philosophers). "The foolish Plato trusted in the purity of his ego. He followed the images that came to his imagination. He considered these to be something valuable and became self-satisfied. Jesus (peace be upon him) was a prophet in Plato's time. He did not believe in that exalted Prophet, who was the Spirit of God. He said, 'We are people who have been freed from backwardness. We do not need a leader to guide us to the right path.'" "If it weren't for the illusion that darkened his heart, he wouldn't be deceived by the images in his imagination, and he wouldn't be prevented from attaining happiness. They wouldn't hinder him from reaching his goal. Seeing this dark illusion, he thought himself enlightened. He couldn't understand that this illusion couldn't penetrate the thin shell of the lower self (nafs al-ammara), that his self was still as dirty and impure as before. He couldn't see that his self had become nothing more than filth coated in sugar." (The sentence is incomplete and unclear in the original Turkish text.) "The heart is not like that. It is pure by nature. It is filled with light. However, because it is close to the dark self, its surface has become darkened and defiled. With a little purification and cleansing, the rust on it disappears, and it returns to its former state. It becomes filled with light. The self, on the other hand, is dark and impure by nature. Unless it comes under the command and control of the heart, or rather, unless it follows the Sunnah, unless it adheres to Islam, and even, unless it receives the grace of Allah Almighty, it cannot be purified, it cannot be cleansed from within. It cannot be freed from the impurity of its nature. It cannot attain happiness and goodness. Plato, because he lacked understanding, thought that the purity of his self was like the purity of the heart that believed in Jesus (peace be upon him). He saw himself as luminous and pure, like the owner of that believing heart. Therefore..." He was not honored with the blessing of following that exalted Prophet (peace be upon him). He was dragged into eternal calamity." Imam Rabbani, Letter 313 SUBJECT: a) The answer to seven questions asked of him. Answer to the 2nd Question; The explanation given in that section.
