#centropieper On Monday, March 9th, starting at 7:30 PM, as part of the XII Meeting 2026 dedicated to Saint Thomas Aquinas, Dr. Mario Caponnetto gave a lecture entitled “Saint Thomas the Polemicist? On the Perfection of the Spiritual Life.” Organized by the Josef Pieper Center for Humanities—on the 20th anniversary of its founding—and by the New Life Fraternity Group, this lecture—held in person—took place at Santiago del Estero 3965, in the city of Mar del Plata, Argentina. “The Perfection of the Spiritual Life” is a theological treatise of significant importance, in which Saint Thomas Aquinas reveals himself as a great “polemicist,” a lesser-known aspect of his multifaceted personality.
