The hermit...what comes to mind when you think of this word? Finally, after months of research, I managed to meet and interview a hermit. We are in upper Tuscany, in the Zeri Valley, where Father Cristiano has lived for 11 years. Without a car, with few outside contacts, without TV, social media, or the internet. Immersed in the wildest nature, with many (hard) manual tasks to do: gardening, chestnut harvesting, weaving, woodworking, and stonework, to name a few.
