Vivere isolato tra i monti: eremita da 22 anni, lontano dal mondo
The story of Frédéric Vermorel, a hermit who has lived in the mountains of the Sant'Ilarione hermitage in Calabria for over twenty years. After a long search and many travels, Frédéric has chosen a life of silence, prayer, and listening, far from the world, the noise of society, and close to the essential. Today, while the hermitage is being renovated, he awaits his return to live in a small 19th-century house, a few kilometers from his spiritual refuge. But the bond with that place remains intact—like an invisible thread uniting solitude, faith, and his dreams. A journey far from the world, yet close to the soul.
