University City Traffic Lights Next To High School (Genesee Ave & Centurion Sq)

This video was filmed April 30, 2026. The only purpose of the traffic signals being here is because of the high school that is to the right of me and that is why this is a 3-way intersection. During this time in the video which was around 730pm, traffic is light and it's just through traffic you see going to other places, but just before and after school, this quickly becomes a very busy intersection with a lot of students crossing the street to get to and from the 41 and 105 bus stop, also crossing the street going ahead to get to their homes down the street or the UTC mall that is down there too. A lot of traffic also goes in and comes from the high school parking lot from the right of here, and the U turn traffic light has a long line of vehicles trying to make a U turn so, it can get crazy here for a short period of time. There has been a recent upgrade made lately for the pedestrians and it's new countdown pedestrian signals replacing the standard hand/man lights and for anyone crossing Genesee Ave, they get a leading pedestrian interval now which means the walk light comes on before the green light.
