The village is 30 minutes away from Nizwa, and is located at the foot of the mountains. The museum is known as a “living museum”, but it has the shape of an old Omani house, which provides an exceptional experience that resembles the ancient Omani lifestyle. In Al Hamra village stood this 400 year old building, which is a house of typical Omani household. We are visiting house which is nicely restored and maintained, and together with the the in-house guides talks and locals who demonstrate old ways to do things.
