Thanks 💚 Sur is a town steeped in history and has long been a hub of marine activities and shipbuilding. Sur's shipyards are renowned for their age-old craftmanship of dhow boats. After bidding farewell to Sur, our journey leads us away from the coastline, into the heart of the Wahiba Sands Desert. These golden sand dunes stretch as far as the eye can see and have some of the highest dunes in the world. By the time we arrive its well after dark and we look for a place to camp. But our trip doesn't go as planned, we end up being rescued by some locals, they invited us back to stay at their camel farm and enjoy an evening of Omani hospitality.
